On Thursday, July 28th MLEA membership voted to ratify a two year contract with the Moses Lake School District.  Due to the financial environment our state is in we had a particularly challenging bargain.  With the suspension of several initiatives and with a 1.9% cut in salary allocation, both the district and MLEA teams worked hard to minimize the impact to our members while ensuring district solvency.

While there were many items on the table, the major issues discussed were:

Legislative impact

Professional responsibility stipend schedule (TRI) for responsibilities completed outside school hours

Class size/ overage payments
